Bob Mann joins Openbravo as new Chairman of the Board

Barcelona, Spain and Cambridge, Massachusetts (January 15, 2010) – Openbravo, the leading developer of web-based open source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for businesses, has announced the appointment of Bob Mann as its new Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Mann brings more than 25 years’ experience of managing and executing expansion strategies at global technology vendors to Openbravo and will use his knowledge and insight to continue the company’s growth.
He will guide strategy, work with the Board and the Openbravo leadership team on goal-setting to execute corporate strategy across all regions, and aid company-wide decision-making processes. As a key resource behind Openbravo’s continuing growth, Mr. Mann will also play a central role in attracting investors for future financing rounds.
A leader in operating global companies, Mr. Mann directed the expansion of Siebel Systems in Europe in 1995, building its sales and marketing operations across the region. Prior to his role at Siebel, he was Vice President at Legent, where he executed strategy to realize European revenues of $175 million.
He has chaired a range of businesses within the portfolios of influential venture capital firms including 3i, Advent Ventures, Amadeus Capital, Alliance Trust and Scottish Equity Partners.
