Sage Helps Showcase B.C. Companies to the World at Consumer Electronics Show
Joins with B.C. Innovation Council and metabridge to bring together technology leaders from across North America to spotlight entrepreneurial spirit
Richmond , BC (December 16, 2009) – Sage North America announced today that it is joining the British Columbia Innovation Council and metabridge in hosting an event during next month’s 2010 CES, the international Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The invitation-only event, scheduled for January 7 at the new Aria Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, is designed to connect established technology industry leaders with innovative entrepreneurs from British Columbia’s Okanagan region, helping to build relationships and foster opportunities.
Dubbed metabridge, a link to established technology centers, the event will be hosted by the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission and is the brainchild of Steve Wandler, a successful technology entrepreneur who returned to the Okanagan after the acquisition of his start-up by a company in Silicon Valley. Sage is co-hosting this event to assist metabridge’s efforts in spotlighting these budding entrepreneurs and providing opportunities to the growing technology community in the Okanagan.
“Sage has been supporting the dreams and goals of entrepreneurs for more than 30 years,” said Jamie Sutherland, vice president and general manager, Simply Accounting by Sage. “By partnering with metabridge to host this event at CES, we’re continuing that rich heritage, bringing together our peers in the industry, opening dialogue and encouraging growth in the Okanagan technology community.”
Sage is also hosting the 5th Annual Thought Leader Appreciation Forum and Dinner, scheduled for January 7th at the Aria Las Vegas. This exclusive event is the premier gathering of the ‘best and brightest’ of the US tax and accounting industry.
