Crimson Worldwide Deploys Order Management by Intacct via Salesforce.com
Order Management enables national temporary housing agency to use its CRM to create quotes, convert to sales orders, check pricing and availability and issue invoices on-demand
San Francisco (May 24, 2006) –
Intacct Corporation, the leader in on-demand financial applications, and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced that Crimson Worldwide has deployed Order Management via the salesforce.com AppExchange. The temporary housing agency, with operations throughout the United States, can with a few clicks create quotes, convert quotes to sales orders, check real-time pricing and inventory and manage invoices directly from salesforce.com’s CRM solution. Built on the AppExchange on-demand platform, Order Management for AppExchange is immediately available for evaluation and deployment at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange. The announcement was made today at Appforce, salesforce.com’s first annual AppExchange partner, user and developer conference.
“Once we saw how Intacct’s Order Management for the AppExchange worked seamlessly with Salesforce, the choice was easy — we selected the two leading software-as-a-service solutions for running our rapidly growing business,” said Jay Contreras, CEO of Crimson. “Our temporary housing operations stretch from coast to coast. Therefore, the ability to securely and quickly access business applications on the Web makes us a better company, with lower IT costs, more flexible business processes and higher productivity.”
“Beyond innovation, the AppExchange is an important revenue stream for Intacct,” said Robert J. Jurkowski, CEO and president of Intacct. “The AppExchange fulfills our goal of taking the application out of the silo, making it easy and affordable for Crimson Worldwide and other small and midsize companies to build a fully integrated on-demand business solution for running the entire company.”
“Order Management is a natural extension of Salesforce into the back office,” said Adam Gross, vice president, developer marketing, salesforce.com. “As the limitations of client-server integration evaporate in the on-demand world, our customers can deploy best-of-breed financial applications from Intacct, fully integrated with market leading on-demand CRM from Salesforce, without a complex software integration project.”
Order Management, which lets users complete the sales cycle in Salesforce, increases revenue through a faster sales cycle, reduces the average cost of sales, and provides executives with a top-down view of the company’s business performance.
Order Management for AppExchange is one of more than 250 applications created by salesforce.com, its customers and partners that are now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world’s first on-demand application platform. AppExchange provides unprecedented ease of customization and integration for Salesforce deployments, as well as enabling a whole new generation of on-demand applications that go beyond CRM. AppExchange enables all of these on-demand applications to be easily shared, exchanged and installed with one click into a customer’s salesforce.com account. AppExchange can be found at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.
